There’s something magical about capturing love in motion and even more so when it’s through the timeless lens of Super 8 film. Recently, we had the pleasure of creating a styled wedding shoot at the charming Café de l’Horloge, combining intimate romance, soft natural light, and delicate floral details to tell a story that feels both cinematic and personal.
The Inspiration
Our vision for this shoot was simple yet elegant: a wedding that feels effortless, intimate, and full of emotion. We drew inspiration from modern romantic weddings with soft color palettes, flowing fabrics, and minimal but meaningful decor. Think soft blooms, gentle textures, and moments that look like they’ve been plucked straight from a love story.
Why Super 8
Shooting on Super 8 film brings a unique warmth, texture, and nostalgia to each frame. Every movement, glance, and laugh is captured with a dreamy, cinematic quality that digital simply can’t replicate. The grain, the light leaks, and the soft focus all add authenticity and emotion, making the day feel alive in every frame.
The Shoot
From the cozy corners of the café to the softly lit outdoor patio, every detail was thoughtfully considered. The bride’s flowing gown caught the light perfectly, while the groom’s subtle style added effortless charm. Together, they moved naturally through the space, and our Super 8 camera followed every laugh, whisper, and shared glance.
Florals played a starring role, with arrangements that were romantic but never overwhelming. Indoor and outdoor shots were balanced to make the most of natural light, creating a mix of intimate close-ups and wide, cinematic moments.
A Lasting Memory
Styled shoots like this are about more than aesthetics, they’re about capturing the feeling of a wedding day. The laughter, the quiet moments, the little details that make love tangible. Super 8 allows those memories to live on in motion, creating something that feels both timeless and alive.
We loved every moment spent at Café de l’Horloge, and we can’t wait to bring more couples’ stories to life in this cinematic, romantic style.
